It was the summer of 2011 when Staffan Weigel faced another rainy day, took a piece of cardboard and put it on the back of his bike to avoid getting splashed and stains while riding his bike to work. The result was so positive that he had the idea with several friends to market a mudguard for cyclists. True to Gothenburg's humour, they called it the Ass Savers project.
They made a video explaining the function of the new mudguard and it went viral in just 24 hours. 6 months later, Staffan left his job to become a member of the new company.
Today the Ass Savers company employs 5 people and operates out of its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. More than one million Ass Savers have already been sold, and the brand that started as a joke between friends is now recognised by millions of cyclists around the world.

Our main objective is customer satisfaction, so if someone is not satisfied with their order, you have up to 30 days to return it.
We recommend that before making the return, you get in touch with us through email: orders [at] santafixie [dot] com.
The returned product(s) must be in new condition and, if possible, with its original packaging. The use of the product should not go beyond the verification of its new condition and functioning upon receipt. If this is not the case once we have received your return, the product or products could suffer a depreciation of its original value, or in extreme cases the return would not be accepted.
In the case of bicycles, in no case will we accept a return with traces of use, scratches, mounting marks, dirt on the tires, damage caused by improper packaging or any other type of damage that makes it impossible to put the bike back on sale. We will check that it is in perfect condition and with the seals intact. If Santafixie detects any damage it reserves the right not to accept the return. If the bicycle is not accepted and needs to be returned, it will be sent back to the buyer at the customer's expense.
